The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a beautiful Centennial exhibition on the photography of

Irving Penn. The rooms are organized by subject matter-- Fashion, Flowers, Cigarette Butts, Celebrities, Cuzco, New Guinea and other well known Penn categories. One of my favorite things on display was the roll of theater curtain he often used as a backdrop. Many could not resist the temptation to take a portrait with it.
